Last week the British Deaf Association (BDA) launched a new \u201cBSL In Our Hands\u201d early years campaign to mark Sign Language Week 2024 which takes place this week (18-24 March 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n

Early language acquisition is essential for a child\u2019s development and wellbeing, yet access to sign language is limited, patchy and expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n We believe that offering access to signing and spoken language mitigates the risk of deaf children becoming language deprived.
